First Trip to the Dentist
On January 4 Gabriel had his very first dentist appointment. I was worried about it since G hadn't been doing so well with the nightly tooth brushing. It turned out so well! Go loved the turtle tank and all the giant stuffed animals in the waiting room. He got to sit on a big bean bag chair and play with a big stuffed puppy. He even did a great job when they did a quick cleaning and applied the fluoride to his teeth. His favorite part was receiving the blow up ball and playing with the hygienist before we left :) His teeth looked great - no cavities or anything!

Celebrating Dada's Birthday!
Gabriel enjoyed singing happy birthday spontaneously throughout the day. He helped pick out a cute card and helped Dada blow out his candles. Jonathan enjoyed a quick dinner out before coming home to an online game with a bunch of friends!

Celebrating Mama's Birthday!
The sickies and school made celebrating Mama's birthday a little challenging. G helped Dada pick out a cute card and we had dinner in. G had fun singing happy birthday again!
Playdate with Little Friends
G had a fantastic time playing with Aven, Beckett, and Brady at Cafe Sip N Play. He played with the trains and climbed up the play structure slid down the slide all by himself! After sliding down once head first, he learned how to sit on his bottom and scoot towards the slide before sliding down. He also got to practice taking turns :)
Gabriel's First Meme - Planking!
Gabriel tried out his first meme this month! After watching Dada demonstrate, G tried his own version of planking. We thought it was pretty cute!

Catalyst Party!
On January 23 we visited the Catalyst Chiropractic clinic for their grand opening party! It was so much fun to support our good friends Melanye, Kip and Brady! G enjoyed playing with little friends, but got a little cranky towards the end of the evening. He even won a fabulous fruit basket in the raffle! Mama enjoyed a quick massage.
Gabriel Antics
G is growing and developing before our eyes! He adds new words daily to his vocabulary. This month he started saying flower and sausage (veggie sausage of course :) ) for example. He regularly brings us his sweater, hat, and mittens (one at a time) and asks us to put them on him. He then wanders around the house all dressed up. He's also been packing up his little cardboard book box with toys, grabbing it by the handle, saying bye-bye, bye-bye while waving and marching out of the room (over and over again). We think he might be imitating his Daddy leaving for work with his laptop bag! He has quite a little sense of humor.

Where's Waldo?!
G now participates in finding Waldo... it's one of his favorite games. Jonathan's family had a Waldo they hid throughout their house and the tradition followed us to college. We always hide Waldo in plain sight. Whoever finds him must hide him for the next person. Debbie especially loves to find and hide Waldo :) G is so good at it, he finds Waldo's new hiding spot within moments... not sure how he does it! He is so fond of Waldo he includes him in his goodnight rounds!
